Merchandise Processing Associate

Job Summary

As a Merchandise Processing Associate at Savers / Value Village, you will contribute to creating an awesome experience for our customers, donors, and team members. We are hiring for both full-time and part-time positions. In this role, you will be involved in handling gently used items that have been donated to local nonprofit organizations and help ensure they are ready for sale in our stores. You will work in a purpose-driven company committed to inspiring a future where secondhand is second nature, while making a positive impact on both the planet and local communities.

Responsibilities

• Processing donated items: Sort, prepare, and price items for display in our retail store.
• Collaborate with team members: Work together to maintain the efficiency of the merchandise processing area and store floor.
• Customer interaction: Ensure a positive experience for customers by keeping the sales floor organized and assisting as needed.
• Ensure quality standards: Ensure that all items meet company standards and policies for quality and safety.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment: Keep the processing area and store clean and free from hazards to ensure safety.

Qualifications

• Experience: No previous retail or merchandise processing experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items as necessary.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with team members in a fast-paced environment.
