Security Guard

Job Summary

This position is responsible for maintaining a secure and welcoming environment within designated Foot Locker store locations in Midtown Manhattan. Reporting to store and loss prevention leadership, the role ensures safety, deters theft, and supports a positive in-store customer experience while upholding operational procedures and security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong and professional presence at the store entrance and on the sales floor
• Engage with customers and employees in a courteous and professional manner
• Deter theft and monitor suspicious activity through visibility and effective communication
• Support operational procedures related to employee and vendor access and merchandise verification
• Respond to EAS alarms with a customer-focused approach
• Document incidents and daily activity reports accurately and thoroughly
• Report shrink-related concerns to Store Management and Loss Prevention
• Promote a culture of honesty, integrity, and compliance
• Remain alert and attentive while standing for extended periods
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid NY State security guard license (or actively in process)
• Professional appearance, strong communication skills, and sound judgment
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible to work mornings, evenings, and weekends as required
• Commitment to maintaining required licenses and training per NYC DOJ guidelines
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain confidentiality

Salary

Part-time: $16.00 per hour
Full-time: $16.00 – $18.75 per hour
