Director, Technology Strategy Planning

Job Summary

This role is responsible for shaping, aligning, and communicating the organization’s technology strategy in collaboration with internal stakeholders. The individual will serve as a strategic partner across the business, connecting key technology initiatives to business outcomes and ensuring alignment with enterprise goals. Strong communication skills and a deep understanding of retail technology are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technology strategies aligned with organizational goals
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technology outcomes and initiatives
• Support financial business case development for technology strategies
• Analyze industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend opportunities and mitigate risks
• Provide strategic guidance on technology investment and innovation
• Identify potential technology-related risks and coordinate mitigation planning
• Track performance of technology initiatives using metrics and data for continuous improvement

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred
• Experience with a Tier 1 consulting firm is a plus
• Minimum of 5 years in technology strategy and change management leadership
• Proven expertise in developing and communicating enterprise technology strategies
• Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies in a business context
• Strategic mindset with a focus on aligning technology with business objectives
• Exceptional PowerPoint skills with the ability to craft compelling presentations

Salary

$148,000 – $190,000 per year, plus short-term incentives aligned with individual and company performance.
