Business System Analyst

Job Summary

This position supports the development and delivery of technology-based systems by analyzing, designing, and documenting business processes and system requirements. The role serves as a key liaison between stakeholders and development teams to ensure alignment and successful product implementation. This is a hybrid position, requiring in-office presence three days per week in Elk Grove, CA. Remote work is not available.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business processes and translate requirements into clear user stories with acceptance criteria
• Collaborate with product managers, product owners, scrum masters, architects, and development teams
• Participate in backlog grooming, prioritization, and all scrum ceremonies
• Facilitate meetings and discussions to support product implementation
• Conduct ad-hoc testing and write supporting documentation and use cases
• Support roadmap creation and customer feedback analysis
• Lead discussions and manage meetings to ensure clarity and timely delivery
• Create and maintain accurate documentation for development and testing
• Demonstrate product understanding and align work to customer and business priorities

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related engineering field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in business analysis and requirements definition
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment is preferred
• Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines

Salary

$94,000 – $165,000 annually, based on experience and other business considerations
